Inclinometers and Gyroscopes
Hývnarová, Irena ; Beneš, Petr (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This study deals with tilt sensors. Besides others methods, accelerometers and gyroscopes are also convenient to solve this problem. Tilt sensors which are described in this thesis are working with capacitive, piezoresistive and thermal method. Capacitive accelerometers from producer Analog Devices, STmicro and Freescale, piezoresistive accelerometers from producer Panasonic Matsushita and gyroscope ADXRS300 are tested by practical measurement. Parameters of these accelerometers are found and they are compared with parameters from producer. Measurement reliability in this study is analysed as well. This thesis is divided in chapters theoretically describing principles of particular accelerometers and the chapters containing measured data evaluation.
Measurement of Isolated Cardiac Muscle Cell Lenght in real time
Klabal, Petr ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the basic description of cardiac muscle cells, the mechanism of its contraction and events associated with contractions. There are different types of methods which can be used for measuring of contractions and for evaluation of cell length. This work describe these methods and evaluate their pros and cons. Based on available information and technical possibilities is one of the methods chosen and used for the design of block diagram system for measuring of contraction of isolated heart cells in real time. The practical part of this diploma thesis deals with the designing of a system which allows processing the image of isolated cardiac muscle cells that facilitate the detection of the cells edge. For this purpose it was created a device that allows the user to select a single row from television signal containing the image information from a location where is the currently selected row. Thus obtained image information can be used for cells edge detection and measuring of its length and contractions.
Analysis of liquid electrolyte electrical parameters using impedance spectroscopy
Brabenec, Josef ; Pikula, Stanislav (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with impedance spectroscopy of electrochemical systems, especially liquid electrolytes. The method of impedance spectroscopy is widely used to describe electrochemical cells, batteries and electrolytes for diagnostic purposes over a wide range of frequencies. This thesis presents the main types of impedance imaging in the complex and frequency domain, as well as basic information on the measurement methods used and the methods for impedance analysis. The main part of the thesis was the development of software for automated impedance measurements and estimation of equivalent circuit parameters using basic and specialized circuit elements. A workplace with fabricated electrodes for liquid electrolyte measurements was prepared for the application. The functionality of the application was verified by real measurements of different concentrations of water and salt solutions. The validity of the estimated equivalent circuit parameters was verified on measured simple circuits connected from basic circuit elements and was also verified using the commercially used ZView software.
Device and methods for testing clean rooms
Bojanovský, Tomáš ; Kolbábek, Antonín (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
In the introduction of the thesis there is described main information about clean rooms that influences the way of measurement and evaluation of these rooms. Then there is a summary of instruments that are used with testing and controlling mentioned rooms. It is primarily a case of device for measurement of concentration of particles in the air that are produced by several firms nowadays. Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions is mentioned as the main producer of these devices. Its three basic types are described in the work. In the next chapter there is the list of other firms occupying this technology and their products. Finally, particular instruments are compared with the regard of different requirements that are placed on them.
Plastic optical fibres and their application in practice
Bubela, Ondřej ; Tejkal, Vladimír (referee) ; Šporik, Jan (advisor)
The intention of this essay is familiarize readers with polymer optical fibers knowed as POF. Listing the losses factors (attenuation, dispersion) and transmition properties (bandwidth, index profiles). Describes production POF (suitable materials and methods), connecting with detachable and not detachable joints. Discuss and compares diference between GOF and POF. By measuring demostrates the complexity of compilation POF and GOF physical layers. Define the facts affecting transmission parameters. Trying to inform about economical possibilities.
Method of measurement parameters in metal forming.
Knebl, Martin ; Šlais, Miroslav (referee) ; Forejt, Milan (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the problem of measurement for thermomechanical parameters during metal forming under higher deformation rate. The first part works up general literary studies, comprising a summary of measurement methods for required parameters. There is described a principle of their function and usage. Further assessed the current situation and recommendation of appropriate methods for the dynamic processes of forming, especially their testing. The second part is devoted to the measurement for dynamic features of the material. This is a problem specified by Split Hopkinson preassure bar test. The test is described, including the mathematical evaluation process, in the theoretical part. In the practical part, there is a detailed description of the process and evaluation of the real test with aluminum alloy AlMg4, 5Mn ,07-EN AW 5083 performed within the framework of the junior project.
Portable device for impedance measurement
Kopic, Jan ; Hruboš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This thesis targets on design of portable device for impedance measurement. Theoretical knowledge related to the construction of a portable impedance analyzer is summarized in a separate chapter. This section also compares some commercially available impedance analyzers. In addition, this thesis contains a description of the principle of operation of the impedance analyzer, which is divided into individual function blocks and supplemented by control circuits. A large part of the work focuses on the design of the analog measurement circuit, where suitable measuring methods are also presented. The functionality of the analog blocks of the device was verified by circuit simulation in the PSpice program and by experimental tests. Selection of some components is mentioned in the relevant chapters, where the essential parameters from datasheets are listed. The output of the work deals with a designed prototype of the device, which was tested. Based on the findings some modifications of the device were proposed for practical usability. The attachment of the thesis contains final version of designed printed circuit board.
Noise Generated by Turbochargers of Internal Combustion Engines
Kříž, Radim ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Doman, Jozef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on generated noise by turbochargers of internal combus-tion engines. First, construction of turbochargers is described. The next part deals with the term sound and after that the issue of the noise in turbochargers follows. Consequent there are characterized experimental and simulation methods for determining the noise. The last part is focused on design modifications of turbocharger’s parts. The goal of this thesis is make research about origin of the noise by turbocharger during working conditions and design modifications which affect the noise.
Introduction of measurement methodology using 3D scanning technology into mechanical production
Klein, Adam ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Šrámek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis focuses on comparison of the commonly used method of tactile measurement with 3D scanning methods for their introduction into engineering production. The first part summarizes the current state with the description of measurement technologies with emphasis on 3D technologies and their versatile use. The second part presents a practical comparison of three types of measuring devices on a selected component of a bicycle. After numerical and graphical evaluation of the measurement results, these values are further statistically processed and the measurement uncertainties are calculated. The final part of the work evaluates the whole process and presents practical suggestions, options and recommendations.
